Patrick Williams is an emerging NBA star whose meteoric rise as a collegiate student-athlete culminated in him being the 4th overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft by the Chicago Bulls. In just a short time with the Chicago Bulls, Williams has been active in the community visiting the Advocate Children’s Hospital’s pediatric cardiology intensive care unit for the “Hoops and Hearts Night” to promote heart health awareness initiative. His passion for giving back and participating in the community is important to him and he looks forward to becoming immersed in youth and educational opportunities in the Windy City.

During his one-and-done year with the Florida State men’s basketball team, Williams amassed numerous awards and honors, including:

As a five-star player and a consensus top-25 recruit out of West Charlotte, Williams was ranked as the #7 small forward and the #1 prospect in the state of North Carolina in 2019. ESPN ranked him as the 34th best player and the sixth-best small forward in the country in 2020 and was named to the Naismith High School Boy’s Watch List prior to the start of his freshman season. A graduate of West Charlotte High School in 2019, Williams averaged 16.7 points, 7.0 rebounds, 2.9 assists, and 1.6 steals in 107 career games in his four-year varsity career and scored in double figures in each of his 31 games as a senior.

Williams is the youngest son of Eddie and Janie Williams, who both played basketball at Johnson C. Smith University. His mother owns a flower shop in Charlotte, North Carolina which was also one of his first after-school jobs delivering flowers for his mom’s shop. Patrick has two older brothers and a sister.
